Ingredients

  1. 1 ear fresh corn on the cob, with the husk
  2. 1 teaspoon unsalted butter, melted
  3. Kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare a charcoal grill with a single layer of hot coals.
  2. Peel back the husk from the corn and remove the silk. Brush the kernels with the melted butter and replace the husk to cover the ear of corn.
  3. Grill the corn for a total of 20 minutes, turning it every 5 minutes. Remove the ear from the grill and carefully peel back the husk. Sprinkle the kernels with salt and serve.

I didn’t like this method for grilling corn. I felt like there was no butter flavor and the corn was dried out at the end. I would prefer to just butter it and put it in foil and then grill it. I find it steams in the foil and doesn’t lose any flavor or moisture.

On our camping trip we grilled the corn on the cob following Ina’s instructions. They were delicious. Not hard to do at all. My 15 year old son enjoyed being the one to rotate the cobs around the campfire.
