Ingredients
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Whisk together the mayonnaise, blue cheese and a generous pinch of salt in a small bowl. Whisk in the buttermilk and a couple turns of freshly ground black pepper until blended.

Too much mayo and too little blue cheese in this recipe. Lacks the tang of my favorite versions of this dressing.
Made this today just exactly as directed. It’s very delicious and tastes even better than the big name brand of chunky blue cheese dressing. Even after purchasing a premium brand of blue cheese at the store, it’s much less expensive than premade that i’ve been buying for years.
So easy and so good! It’s so much better than store bought. I make this recipe 2-3 times a month.
Just made it….BEYOND DELICIOUS….as a personal preference, I added about 1tsp crushed garlic and no salt….the duplication of a dressing I enjoyed YEARS ago in Westhampton NY…restaurant called Dora’s…hooray!
I didn’t have buttermilk but added a squeeze of lemon and it was awesome. I will never buy blue cheese dressing again!
