Soooo very yummy! I think I will try small pretzels instead of the nuggets. I am making this for a holiday, teacher present! Nothing on the recipe is too expensive and it takes minutes to make. Try this one for sure!

I didn’t have any trail mix, so I substituted a large bag of popped microwave popcorn, and 1 1/2 cups of maple/brown sugar square rice cereal instead. It turned out wonderful, and it was gone in 2 days, everyone loved it! I’ll make another batch tonight.

this was very easy & did not burn for me at all (although I can see that if i’d been a few minutes later getting it out of the oven, one of the 2 trays would have burned.). I think next time I will use pretzel sticks or small rounds . . the big pretzel nuggets look a little odd with the smaller clumps of mix.

I have been making this for my family and friends for a couple of years and have been passing this recipe around. Two key things though: I almost double the “sauce” recipe. AND…I only bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Pretzels are naturally pretty dry and too much time in the oven takes it too far. (And I sometimes use pretzel sticks instead of the nuggets)

I have made this several times with wonderful results. I have added extra things to the recipe such as additional golden raisins and cut up dried apricots. I did not have a problem with burning, but I do use a sil-pat and perhaps that helps. People always ask me for this recipe when I make it.

might have been good if it hadn’t all burned
