Everyone loved this pie for Christmas, much to my surprise as cranberries seem to be one of those foods not everyone is crazy about. My sister-in-law, who is not a dessert person, cut her first slice before dinner because the pie looked pretty, had a second one on her plate with dinner, and a third for dessert. There was still a little left for the rest of us. The hardest part of making this pie is chopping the cranberries, which wanted to roll off the cutting board, behind the toaster and onto the floor. Next time I might try a food processor for that task, although I’d worry about pulverizing them too much. But in general, if you’re skeptical about cranberry pie don’t be. This one tastes delicious.

So simple and so fantastic! Never thought of a cranberry pie before, and was excited to try something different with cranberries. Glad I took a chance on it because it was SO GOOD!!! The cranberries are tart but not too tart. I will be freezing cranberries from this holiday season and plan to use this as an easy substitute for cherry pie. Only change I made was doubling the amount of filling, as I like a big pie. Used Paula Deen’s pie crust recipe and got tons of compliments! Thanks for sharing the recipe!!!

This pie was absolutely easy to make and it tastes awesome! At first I was a bit hesitant because I thought the cranberries were going to come to tart but on the contrary, the whole thing is tangy and sweet and just melts in your mouth…this is a “must-do” recipe!!

My family and I have never had cranberry pie and I decided to make it last minute to get rid of some cranberries we had. It didn’t take long at all and was very easy. It is a delicious desert. I recommend it.
