I doubled the apples and reduced butter a little. Was a huge hit. So good!
I made it a second time with crumbled cinnamon-raisin bagels, and I added cooked and crumbled bacon to the top. My grandson, who normally has a small breakfast, ate a big second helping.
I cut 3 apples to cover the bottom of the crockpot and I added 1/2 tsp cinnamon To the brown sugar I used cinnamon loaf omitted the raisins cooked for 2 hrs 15 min. Turned out great everyone liked it I will definitely make it again.
Made this tonight, was delicious with just a bit of maple syrup drizzled on top. I used two apples, one Braeburn, one Macintosh, and it was wonderful. I will definitely make this again!
Made this French toast twice and everyone loved it. There was never any left overs. I did add dried cranberries instead of raisins and more cinnamon instead of allspice.
Made this multiple times for brunches, and it’s always a big hit. Have to make it the night before, letting it soak up overnight. I do two apples to fully cover the bottom of the crockpot.
Made for a Christmas brunch and work…HUGE hit!!!! Will make again and passing recipe on
Easy recipe but needs more flavor. Double the cinnamon? I did add another apple inthe middle. Moisture was perfect, center soft and edges firm and crunchy.
I was looking for a crock pot French Toast recipe when I found this. It’s probably more of a bread pudding, but it tasted great. I used three day old French bread, skipped the raisins, added a teaspoom of cinnamon, and used two Honeycrisp apples. After two hours on high, I put it on low for an additional 10-15 minutes. Delicious, and my family enjoyed it too.
This was easy and delicious. I halved the recipe but, I kept the whole apple. I put 3/4 of the apple on the bottom and the rest on top. Came our great. With a drop of whipped cream you can not beat it. Thanks
This was good, I increased the apples and we ate with ice cream, more like a bread pudding. Easy to toss in crock pot before making dinner and then have dessert ready.
Definitely a weekend favorite.
Find it faster to make it in a skillet
We added ice cream to the top of ours. Yummy!
This was great. I served with maple syrup because I let it cook for 3 hours instead of 2 so it was a little dry.
Whole family liked it! Yum!
We added blackberries, used regular bread, and doubled the recipe due to guests. It was good, but turned out more like bread pudding. Next time we will put the fruit in the middle and on top rather than on the bottom, to add more flavor to the bread.
This was sooo delicious! It was my first slow cooker French Toast so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was great. I used Ezekiel cinnamon raisin bread and almond milk in place of regular.
I made a few changes out of necessity and we still liked it. I even used healthier bread from Costco and me and my son really liked it. Give it a shot when you have a couple hours to kill before chow down time.
I made it (almost) exactly as instructed and it turned out delicious! It was a bit hit with my family and I got asked for the recipe. The only change I made was I added cinnamon to the egg, milk mixture. Otherwise exactly as described.
I made a double batch for my church breakfast. They loved it
