These burgers are sure to impress everyone! Ideal for summer cookouts and family get-togethers. Potato salad and baked beans go great with them. Serve with plenty of lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, if desired, between sesame seed or whole wheat buns. When I grill, I also prefer to use wood chips with a hickory flavor to give the meat more flavor. Before grilling, sprinkle wood chips over the hot coals after soaking them in water for about an hour.

My daughter Brandi love these burgrs

They were the Best burgers I’ve made! Thanks for this recipe. I didn’t change a thing!
They were the Best burgers I’ve made! Thanks for this recipe. I didn’t change a thing!
I do a version of this (add an egg, don’t put in the hot sauce) and these burgers are INCREDIBLE.. love them.
These were pretty good. I cut the recipe in half and didn’t add water or bread crumbs. I opted for worchestershire, minced garlic, and a little more Frank’s Red Hot. This gave it a nice kick.
I have been using this recipe with hamburger for as long as i could cook! I would recommend using a egg instead of water, as it helps the meat stick together. Also, I like to add sauces to the mix to give it a moist flavor. ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce, A1, worcheshire (sp?); any of these help maintain a great juicy flavor.
Followed advise of Debbie J. Left out egg and crackers. Added worstershire sauce and shredded cheese. Delicous! Very filling.
Outstanding! I have probably made these 20 times now and they never get old. For the hot pepper sauce, I usually use Cholula Original which gives them a little kick and a great flavor. Thanks for the recipe!!!
Simple recipe that makes for some good burgers.
I thought they lacked flavor, but my husband and the couple we had over thought they were really good. Maybe it’s just me…
Great taste. Burgers cook-up nice and even. My mom has been cooking grat food for 83 years. BIG hit with her.
I made these last night and they were juicy and tender. I didn’t get the ‘meatloaf’ feel. I would make them again!
Every time I make these my husband raves about them. They are a nice change from a plain burger, and a little bit special for those summer cookouts.
These are the best burgers I’ve ever had! They aren’t dry one bit, and they fill you up! It’s worth a try.
I made these burgers for a nascar party that my husband had, and all the guys just loved them. Thank you so much that’s all they could talk about all night. Even my three year old son loved them, and he doesn’t like anything.
Too much like meatloaf.
Wonderful burgers! Not sure where the complaints came from that I read but I guess that just goes to show that not everyone has the same taste buds. Try them once at the very least. I made no changes other than adding a tsp of Worsterchire. Give it a whirl!
Hubby said he wanted burgers tonight for supper. I’ve seen this recipe before, and wanted to make it. It was delicious! I’m not big on burgers, but when we had this tonight, it was awesome!! Hubby said to cut back on the bread crumbs a bit, but I said it was perfect the way it is. Thanks!
These burgers were quick and easy to make, very juicy, but we didn’t care for the taste as much as just a plain burger. They tasted like meatloaf burgers.
These turned out great. I prefer using water rather than egg. They were very juicy and did not fall apart on the BBQ.
