Best recipie they turned out great
So simple, so good! My oven needed a minute longer. No changes. Just yum!
This recipe is so easy. Made them for my family to go with turkey soup it was a hit.
Good ol basic drop biscuit. Quick easy and done
Awesome easy recipe
So yummy! I added garlic and cheese, my family loved them! I will definitely be making this recipe again!
Excellent turn out. Quick, easy, and no buttermilk!!!
I loved these! I’m staying at a friend’s house and couldn’t find a biscuit cutter so thought I would try these. So easy! We loved them. The only change I made was adding a little chopped rosemary from the garden. I will certainly make them again.
Nice and quick recipe produced a great biscuit without pulling out the rolling pin
Easy and especially for a small kitchen. They came out great and I don’t bake. I would have liked them more with a little sugar. I added dried cranberries because I didn’t have raisins like regular tea biscuits. They were great.
Easy recipe. I too used butter flavored crisco. They are a little bland flavored but perfect for adding your own flavors to. Nice and flakey
I make these but substitute 1/2 cup coconut oil instead of the crisco. I also sift the dry ingredients. It is very moist inside and a little crunchy on the outside! Much better this way.
These are fabulous! I modified the recipe and added 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese and 1sp of garlic. Terrific with a pot of beef stew. Family main stay now.
Easy and taste like my Great Grandma’s
Simple, quick, risk-free. Somewhat copied Heather Adam (TX): added a bit of almond extract. Now to find some sort of whipped butter to go with it. I want to dip these in something 🙂
No changes made … BIG hit at Christmas supper, especially with apple butter. Doubled the recipe and the guys are glad there are some left over so they can have them with sausage gravy. Will definitely be making these again!
Ok I did tweak it a bit so not a fair review. I always have to triple recipe so I can get a couple of biscuits for me LOL. I add sugar & substitute bacon grease for the shortening, skip the vanilla & depending on which meal you are making them for (biscuits & gravy, or dinner) some minced garlic.
I would definitely make these again. Light and fluffy, delicious!!
it’s so easy and yummy
I usually just make bisquick just because it’s fast. These were super easy and the kids liked them better than bisquick. It uses ingredients I always have on hand and it took just a couple minutes more than Bisquick. I did add more milk, but I do that with Bisquick also because I find them too dry. I may still use the Bisquick once in awhile, but this is a lot cheaper and tastes better.
We did not like these at our house.
