Quick and Easy Peach Cobbler

A Charleston classic is red rice and sausage. Italian sausage is a tasty alternative to the turkey sausage that I prefer to use.

  16. Don’t substitute regular all-purpose flour for self-rising flour in this recipe! Please use self-rising flour which is a mixture of flour, baking powder, and salt.

Reminds me of my childhood. One to pass down in the family.

Very easy and flexible – I did use fresh peaches and a 1/2 cup of brown sugar mixed with 1/2 cup of white sugar – I also added about 3/4 c of fresh blueberries and sprinkled cinnamon on top

My mom loves peach cobbler but can’t eat the whole peach slices so I chopped them (semi puree) in the magic bullet….worked great! Thank you

I made exactly as directions stated. I did use fresh peaches that I stewed for about 20 minutes! Everyone was very pleased with the results! We served warm with vanilla bean ice cream!

Pretty good! Possibly would have been better if I had the cast iron pan it called for, who knows.

Browning salted butter in the pan while the oven heats up add a rich toasted/salted caramel flavor.

My cast iron pan is small and I didn’t want to make a huge dessert since it’s just two of us, so I halved the recipe except I did use three servings of individual peach cups packed in juice, and three fresh peaches. So I don’t know how much peach there was, looked like a lot. I also used quarter cup heavy cream and quarter cup milk, and added cinnamon and allspice dashes, a few drops vanilla and some flax seed for a fiber boost. It turned out delicious, after baking for about an hour.

Soggy not very appetizing. I cooked an extra 20 minutes.

I liked it but would add one more can of peaches(drained) and a little cinnamon. I also had to cook it approximately 20 minutes longer than the recipe stated. Jan

This recipe was so easy and absolutely delicious. I never thought living overseas I would ever have this all time favorite American dessert. I added some cinnamon less butter and 3/4 sugar and it was superb. Thank you!!

First time making peach cobbler. It was fairly easy. Taste is pretty. Family enjoys it. It’s a keeper. The only thing I didn’t do was the extra juice from the canned peaches. It seemed to be too much juice. It takes very good.

I added a little raw sugar to the mix and on top too. Plus U can use apple and mixed berry instead of peaches if U like. What ever fruit U like. For this type of dish anyways. Plus a little all spice nutmeg and cinnamon to the mix too.
Mason Graham
It was wonderful except a but gooey. Not enough crust texture. But wonderfully tasting
