A stunning Italian frozen iced dessert called granita. Though it may be prepared at any time of year, summer is when it’s finest savored. In addition to being chilly and delicious, it makes you repeatedly stick your face in the freezer while stirring. Perfect ice crystals are produced by repeatedly blending the granita with a fork while it freezes.

Ingredients
- 10 ounces boneless, skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of fat and diced into 1/4-inch cubes
- ½ cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Mix chicken, bread crumbs, onion, mozzarella cheese, egg, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl until well combined. Shape mixture into 8 equal-sized patties.
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Fry patties until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Flip and fry for an additional 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer fritters to a paper towel-lined plate.
- I used chicken thighs because I think they are more flavorful but chicken breasts will work.
- I use Walmart’s brand of chicken dipping sauce which is very similar to the one from that famous chicken restaurant.

My husband is so picky and I’m not that great of a cook but he loved these! I made them exactly by the recipe, didn’t improvise at all.
First ingredient says thigh cut up to cubes but later it says to make patties and at the end author used thighs. Unclear how to prepare, in chunks or as individual thighs. I went with chunks and it was ok. Next time I won’t cut up.
These are so good! I followed the recipe as written and they came out beautifully. I paired them with another great recipe from this site, called “Clone of a Pretzel Dip.” Serve them with an apple walnut salad for a delicious lunch or light dinner.
Easy to make & Delicious! I used minced onion because I didn’t have an onion on hand. I used white sharp cheddar cheese in place of mozzarella. I think the next time I’m going to try to make them in my Ninja Foodi airfryer.
Very good
I added 1/4 tsp Chili powder.
So good!
Great, would have to be the most moist and delicious chicken patties ever. Top marks to the inventor, stuck to the exact recipe , will make many times in the future
I used ground turkey. I also added aprox 3 more tbsp. Of Italian seasoning and 8 drops of lime juice. It tastes fantastic!!. And they were fluffy and moist. I will make this often. Thanks for the recipe
