I had everything except the mustard powder… I am under the weather but felt a lot of flavor. I will use leftover spices on another occasion. I used chicken thighs and potatoes and put everything on the slow cooker. My son loved it. I have a sensitive stomach so I will use less next time.

I do a lot of spice mixes for meats and this was a very nice blend that admittedly I just eyeballed and put a bit too much chicken bullion in. No worries I just didn’t add any salt into my rub for the whole quarters that I roasted. Nice taste. Keep up the good works.

Loved this recipe! I took the advice about the salt & used a generous 1/4t. Needs closer to a 1/2t. Excellent as is, next time I’m going to try using some smoked paprika!

Good flavor, but super salty! If you don’t like spice, don’t add all the cayenne pepper. It was spicy.

Easy and so tasty! In a shaker bad put 3 TBS olive oil, about 4 tsp of this wonderful chicken seasoning blend, and mixed it up. Tossed on the chicken wings, coated. Baked at 375 for about 50 minutes. Checked temp of chicken and was cooked. SOOOO aromatic and tasty. Sure beats paying over $4 for a box of mix that has sugar in it! ALL ingredients were in my cupboard. Stored extra in a cute spice jar. Thank you!

This is good, but potent. I liberally applied the rub to both sides of the thighs. I also pulled the skin back to apply the rub directly on the chicken. Didn’t have the rosemary so i substituted a half teaspoon of sage. Took the advice of others and didn’t use any salt, didn’t need it. Am adding this to my spice blend recipes.

So I taste as I go and went easy on the salt by alot and the cayenne by a little. 3 times this recipe fits in one Ole Smokey shot size jar, FYI. The taste is really amazing dry in my palm. Its gonna be even better on my cornish game hens tomorrow.

We loved this chicken rub. Replaced paprika with smoked paprika. Add 1 tsp of salt instead of 1 1/2 tsp and did not use chicken bouillon.

excellent blend of herbs and spices. I always try to find a ways to make to make chicken better and this was perfect. Next time I will dry rub it a day prior to cooking and maybe tenderize as well.

Why add deadly MSG laden bouillion granules to such beautiful herbs and spices? Left out the salt entirely since I always salt to taste anyway. Added onion powder since it compliments garlic and sage since it compliments all poultry.

Best chicken rub recipe for thighs in a cast iron skillet. Preheat your oven to 450 degees Fahrenheit with your cast skillet in the oven. Generously apply rub to your chicken thighs 4-6 small thighs on both sides, please adjust the salt in the rub to your liking, I prefer doubling recipe but only use 1 teaspoon of salt. When your oven is preheated, take out your cast Iron skillet and add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary, when the butter is fully melted, put your chicken thighs in, skin down, and put back in the oven for 23 minutes, flip, and keep them for an additional 20 minutes. Viola!

This is awful. Chicken tastes like chorizo sausages. I’ve tried a lot of spiced chicken up the years, and this is not even close. It’s like it was just made up one evening.

This is my favorite chicken seasoning recipe! I like to make it in big batches so I always have some ready to go. I leave out the bullion simply because I don’t want the extra salt, but I’m sure that just makes this even better!

I was making chicken that called for a prepackaged spice mix but couldn’t find it. So, my son found this recipe and we followed it exactly. It was delicious!! I can’t wait to try it on other meats!!
