Dry and heavy.

I had to make up my own self-raising flour, but that was easy enough. This was a very involved project, but it worked out great. We all enjoyed this very much. Will make again. Thanks.

Really tasty.. however the recipe is a little time consuming and tedious. Allow at least an hour if using a an electric mixer.. or an hour and a half mixing by hand. Not a simple recipe at all. But the results are outstanding!!

It turned out great! Will be making it again.

Wow! Fam loved this with chicken nuggets.

I liked them. The waffle was soft on the inside but the outside was syrup proof. No complaints from the mini critics. I made a larger batch to make a few more mornings easier. I’ll make adjustments when I try it again. I love simplicity and this made daddy look like Babish for a day. Thanks!

It does not even get more than one star because I followed the recipe exactly, and they turned out like mattress pads! I’ve studied the recipe and should be max 1 1/2c flour. Ridiculous recipe! what is it doing as “most popular” waffles?
Andrea Molina
We all love them. They tasted great. I added a little more sugar and cinnamon just to increase the sweetness. The only thing we would change is the thickness, one waffle is more than enough but they were a little heavy.
Adam Howell
Magical. These are simply fantastic.

Makes delicious waffles.

I made this using the ingredients given and let the batter sit for 10 minutes instead of 40. The waffles were still fluffy, tender and delicious! I understand why the batter needs to sit…it thickens more the longer you wait. The recipe made 7 full Belgian waffles. Will definitely use this recipe again!!!

These were simple to make and absolutely delicious. I only had one egg so halved the recipe. I added a bit of cornstarch, as others suggested, and did get that nice crunch. TY!
Donald Anderson
everyone says they’re really fluffy

I made this recipe as is and am very pleased with the taste. These are crispy on the outside and easy to eat without any toppings.

Someone recommended using 2.75 tsp and regular flour. I did as well as used almond extract because I didn’t have vanilla. It was a big hit with my family. Our dogs even liked it

I needed a waffle recipe that actually made good waffles. I have struggled with it in the past. Tried these and after reading reviews I used 2.5 cups of flour & 1/4 cup of cornstarch. They turned out SO good. Crispy. Yummy. Everyone loves them including my picky husband. Will definitely make again and again.

Added 1/2 tsp vanilla extra, used 50% brown sugar, 50% white.
Lance Brown
I didn’t have any self rising flour so I added 2 tablespoons of baking soda (the second one not filled all the way to the top because it’s actually supposed to be 23/4 teaspoons). It was AMAZING!!! My parents really liked it. Thanks for the recipe!

Emma’s Belgian Waffles came through once again for the State of Texas.

Made these for Mother’s Day! Big hit. Very good. I also used HottKoko81’s tips.

These waffles are super dense, not fluffy at all… They’re pretty good, but you definitely want to lather them with butter when you serve these waffles. Most recipes for waffles make waffles that aren’t as filling as this recipe. I usually eat two waffles when I eat other recipes, but I can barely finish one with this recipe. I’m pretty sure this is a biscuit recipe someone adapted to put in the waffle maker
