The traditional mojito has been given a small twist, but it still creates an amazing summer beverage. Champagne can be substituted with sparkling wine, if preferred. Insert a mint sprig as garnish.

Ingredients
- 10 fresh mint leaves
- 2 teaspoons white sugar
- 2 fluid ounces white rum
- ½ lime, quartered
- 4 fluid ounces sparkling white wine
- ¼ cup crushed ice
Instructions
- Place mint leaves and sugar in the bottom of a collins glass. Crush mint using a muddler. Add rum and lime slices to glass and muddle again. Top with sparkling wine and crushed ice.

I’ve never had a traditional mojito so I didn’t have anything to compare this with but it sure was good! It was the perfect blend of sweet and tart and it packed a punch.
