Stovetop Dark Chocolate Popcorn

In your slow cooker, French lentils are combined with sautéed aromatics to create a delectable vegetarian soup that’s ideal for any night of the week. Serve with croutons, fresh bread, soda bread, or crackers.

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup unpopped popcorn
  2. ¼ cup vegetable oil
  3. ⅓ cup white sugar, or to taste
  4. 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Heat a popcorn kettle or pot over medium heat. Add popcorn, oil, sugar, and cocoa powder to the kettle. Cook, turning the handle slowly, until popping slows to 3 seconds between pops.
  2. You can use a Dutch oven instead of a popcorn kettle if preferred. Make sure to shake the Dutch oven constantly while the popcorn pops.

I did not find this to be a good recipes. Ended up with burned popcorn. Try a different recipe as this one does not explain very well how to make it. Follow the directions to a tee and you get burned popcorn.
