My kids have been requesting this warm French toast recipe that my step-mom made years ago ever since. They are currently making it for their kids! Each serving should have melted butter drizzled over it, powdered sugar sprinkled on top, and warm maple syrup beside it. Blueberries can be substituted with strawberries.

- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can golden mushroom soup
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen cut green beans
- 1 cup chopped canned tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 dash ground black pepper
- 3 cups frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion together in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease.
- Stir mushroom soup, green beans, tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper with the beef mixture; bring to a boil and top with potato nuggets. Place a cover on the skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until the green beans and potato nuggets are heated through, about 15 minutes.

This made me think of a tweaked shepherds pie. No changes made, other than I chose to finish it in the oven to allow the tater tots to crisp up. It’s too salty for my taste and I didn’t even add the salt as instructed.
no changes to reciepe will not cook this again .my family did not care for it .
I had to make a few adjustments due to the wife not liking mushrooms and having whole potatoes on hand instead of tater tots. I subbed tomato soup (made it too sweet) since that’s what I had, and cut the potatoes very small, but forgot to cook them separately first. It ultimately still turned out good, but not photo worthy. We will try it again soon! I hope to convince the wife that the mushroom soup won’t be too bad in the dish. 🙂
