Tasty Tender Pork Tenderloin

  4.6 – 269 reviews  • Pork Tenderloin Recipes

Put the knives aside; this tenderloin is simple and hassle-free, and it will melt in your mouth. I have to cook this at least once a week, per family request!

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 1 hr
Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 (1 1/2 pound) fat-trimmed pork tenderloin
  2. salt and pepper to taste
  3. all-purpose flour for dusting
  4. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  5. 1 (8 ounce) bottle Russian-style salad dressing
  6. ¾ cup honey
  7. 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Trim any excess fat from pork and pat dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper. Dust with flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 1 to 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork in the oil, rotating to brown evenly all sides. Transfer to a baking dish just large enough to fit the tenderloin.
  4. In a bowl, stir together the Russian-style salad dressing, honey, and onion soup mix. Pour evenly over the tenderloin, rolling the meat to coat on all sides. Cover with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake, covered, in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, basting with glaze every 10 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking another 30 minutes, or until pork is no longer pink in the center.

My family loves this recipe it is a staple in our household!!! An easy meal to fix on those busy nights and doesn’t take long to make.

I have made this for years. One of my families favorites! I use olive oil, reduce the honey to less than a half cup and use fat free Russian dressing to make it a little healthier. Also do not use the whole package of onion soup mix.

I love this recipe, I have been making it for years now. The first time I made it I was surprised how well the flavors mix. As a change up, I follow the recipe and throw it in a crock pot and shred it , family favorite

This was good for once in a while. It’s kind of a unique taste. I used 1/3 cup honey and not the entire packet of onion soup mix. Served it with rice for all the extra sauce. Using the same pan to brown it then popping that skillet in the oven saved on cleaning an extra dish.

I really didn’t change the recipe at all. It brought back memories of a delicious chicken dish I used to make many years ago. I will make this again!

This was a nice change of flavor. Everyone in the family gave it 5 stars. I used Western dressing and just slightly reduced the honey. Used the sauce to put over the mashed potatoes (most of us) and had no leftovers! I am def keeping this one! Thanks for the great recipe.

This recipe has a very unique yet delicious flavor profile mixing the beef/onion mix with Russian dressing. Who would of thought. Try that beef/onion mix to doctor up baked beans as well. It took me by surprise!

I loved the sauce, but after reading other reviews, I may tweak it some when I prepare it again. My only reason for giving it three stars was that it was not tender. I know how finicky tenderloin is, so I used a thermometer. The meat still took about an hour to reach 145 degrees (which is supposed to be perfect for this cut), but it came out tight. I will try it again. Maybe it was my new oven, but it would be nice to have had a meat temperature to shoot for.

Delicious! Very tender & so tasty. I also reduced the honey to 1/4 C and it didnt take away from the recipes yummy taste at all! I serve this with Garlic & Herb mashed potatoes, Cinnamon glazed carrots and Green beans with cashews and an onion glaze. One of our favorite recipes!!

So delicious. I was amazed at the flavors that melded together into something so special. I served with roasted red potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Brown bagging tomorrow can hardly wait!

Delicious, Per other reviews I used just under 1 packet of onion soup mix, left out a bit of the powder part, and much less honey about 1/4-1/2cup and added 1 spoon of chili garlic sauce – very tasty! This made plenty of sauce and I served it with a rice medley with peppers and onions. I also used a probe for the meat and took it out at 145 and let it sit which raised it to about 150

I made this tonight and will definitely make it again. It was very easy and delicious! Both of my kids enjoyed it-so big success! I used another reviewer’s suggestion of mixing the dressing and onion mix first, then added honey until I reached the right amount to taste. I also added quartered red potatoes to the pan and baked with the meat. Very good!

I was skeptical when I saw it was made with Russian dressing. But it came out amazing!
