This recipe for leg of lamb steaks was given to me by my mum. Leg steaks are a fantastic and incredibly soft cut of lamb that I first discovered when I tried them.

Made it exact and very good Would make again
Definitely cut the sugar in half. Otherwise the texture and tastes come together well despite raw broccoli!
Followed exact recipes and Everyone loved it!
I love this broccoli salad! It’s full of flavor and crunch!
I loved the simplicity of this recipe and how quickly it comes together. The only substitution I made was using dried cranberries in lieu of raisins. I halved the recipe for the two of us and have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Very good. Reduce sugar in half as others suggested.
Yum! I had to sub apple cider vinegar (could have used white vinegar or white wine balsamic instead); adaptable. I also halved the sugar, adding in a little salt and pepper.
I love this salad!! I made it this weekend for a potluck get together and it was such a hit. I did have to us apple cider vinegar since I forgot to pick up the white wine vinegar that the recipe calls for. It was wonderful!!!
Love the recipe. I use honey instead of sugar. So delicious. Enjoy!!
This is a great recipe but I used half the amount of sugar called for. It would have been wayyyyy too sweet with the full 1/2 cup, so I added a little less than 1/4 cup and it was perfect. I also added more vinegar as I like more “tang” to my salads. Last change I made was to add some white pepper, too. White pepper gives it a nice kick of heat without overpowering.
Good but a little too sweet. I will decrease the sugar next time I make this recipe. I did add about 1/8 cup dried cranberries and I used a quality white balsamic vinegar instead of a white wine vinegar. Other modifications within the comments look really good, like adding tortellini. Maybe some shredded parmigiana.
most positive response to a dish I’ve taken to a picnic in a long time. You could cut the sugar in half and hardly notice. I used cranberries and pistachios (people loved the pistachios). Wait to put the pistachios in just before serving to maintain crunch.
I’ve made this for neighbourhood parties and it’s a favourite of everyone. The only thing I changed was I used Bacon bits in the package rather than cooking bacon. It save a lot of time, work and cleanup and it still turned out fantastic. I’ve done it both ways and there didn’t seem to be much of a difference if at all whether using freshly cooked bacon or the packaged bacon bits.
OMG one of the best salads I’ve ever had!! So good!!! I used toasted sunflower seeds and dried cranberries because that’s what I had. I also par-cooked the broccoli first. I think, maybe, it soaks up some of the dressing that way. So happy I found this recipe. Thank you!!
I cut back on the sugar just a bit.
I had some broccoli that needed to be used up. I’ve been thinking about broccoli salad and have had this recipe saved for a while. It is very good. The white wine vinegar and sugar gives it a perfect tangy but sweet flavor. I didn’t have raisins so used dried cranberries instead. They worked just fine.
I followed the recipe and my family loved it.
Good recipe. Used Miracle Whip (what was on hand) and reduced the sugar, added shallot and sunflower seeds. Looks good. Tasted good after mixing. Can’t wait to try it thoroughly chilled.
So good! I subbed white onion, raisins and pistachios as that is what I had on hand. It is delicious!
Love broccoli salad and this recipe… and always get nice comments when I take it to share!!! BUT… I cut the sugar amount to 1/4 cup and its still plenty sweet… could probably even cut it to 2 or 3 tablespoons and it would still be delicious, well balanced and less calories.
I make it with broccoli and cauliflower for more crunch! Also use craisins for better flavor! I could eat this for breakfast, lunch and supper!
