Use this grilled shrimp recipe to make delicious shrimp tacos with your favorite toppings inside corn tortillas, or serve it as a main dish with a side of yellow rice and a green vegetable. Nothing beats shrimp for a dinner that is quick and simple! As the grill heats up, the shrimp marinade in a flavorful concoction. The shrimp will only need about 4 minutes on the grill, but the other dishes in your supper must be ready beforehand.

Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  2. ½ lemon, juiced
  3. 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  4. ¼ teaspoon white sugar
  5. ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  6. salt to taste
  7. 1 pound shrimp, shelled and deveined

Instructions

  1. Combine olive oil, lemon juice, seafood seasoning, sugar, cayenne, and salt in a small bowl; stir until marinade is well mixed.
  2. Thread shrimp on metal skewers and pat dry. Brush with marinade and refrigerate.
  3. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  4. Cook shrimp on the hot grill until the edges begin to turn white, 1 to 2 minutes. Turn and continue grilling until shrimp is white and no longer translucent, 1 to 2 minutes longer. Serve warm.
