Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  1. 2 teaspoons garlic powder, or to taste
  2. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  3. 1 teaspoon salt
  4. 1 teaspoon paprika
  5. ½ cup seasoned bread crumbs
  6. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  7. ½ cup milk
  8. 1 egg
  9. 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – pounded thin
  10. 1 cup oil for frying, or as needed

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix together the garlic powder, pepper, salt, paprika, bread crumbs and flour. In a separate dish, whisk together the milk and egg.
  2. Heat the oil in an electric skillet set to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Dip the chicken into the egg and milk, then dredge in the dry ingredients until evenly coated.
  3. Fry chicken in the hot oil for about 5 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Remove from the oil with a slotted spatula, and serve.
  4. We have determined the nutritional value of oil for frying based on a retention value of 10% after cooking. The exact amount may vary depending on cook time and temperature, ingredient density, and the specific type of oil used.

I didn’t have a thermometer to check the oil temp; it took less than 5 mins each side for me. I loved how quick and easy it was to prepare and it tasted great

Loved it! I added more garlic and salt as suggested by other reviewers. Also I ran out of breadcrumbs so I used crushed Ritz crackers instead. Great recipe!

I don’t cook. I made this. Followed the recipe exactly, except I didn’t pound out the chicken and used six breasts. My family loved it!!! Will definitely make again! Thanks for sharing!!!

I did add a little more garlic and cut back on the pepper ( I can’t eat much pepper) but otherwise did the recipe as is. Was great! You really need to try this recipe. Tasted absolutely delicious!!

It was fast and easy to make and it tasted WONDERFUL. We didn’t have any eggs so we used a 1/2 cup of sour cream and it still tasted great.

I also noticed the video left out the flour as well and I wish I had! Going to try it without the flour and more Italian bread crumbs. It was tasty, even with the flour.
Michelle Glass
It worked out pretty well. I didn’t have an electric skillet, so I used the stove at medium-high heat. The second batch through the oil got a bit too hot. Tasted good.

This was a huge hit for my family!!

So easy and so good. Made as wrote. As mentioned, by the OP use a tablespoon of garlic, not teaspoon. Will use this for chicken parmesan as well.

alright recipe a little bland in my opinion.

I didn’t add any salt and used rice flour instead of all-purpose. I also double the amount of garlic powder. I seasoned the chicken as well with adobe and it came out great.

Followed other reviewers and did 2 T. garlic instead of 2 t. I also soaked the chicken in buttermilk prior to the dipping, coating, and frying. The kids loved it. They compared it to Chick Fil A. Our family of 6 finished it all off and anytime this happens, that’s a keeper!

Two enthusiastic thumbs up. Followed the directions completely spice wise but I admit I didn’t beat the breasts down. It didn’t affect the taste at all. They were juicy and so so good. Told my kido they looked like big chicken tenders when they got done. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how good they were. Crispy outside and just wow. I will reuse this. Made after work and it was done in a snap. Thank you so much for sharing. Highly recommend.
