Excellent results and very easy to make. Did not change anything from recipe. I made it for bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Superb!

So I tweeked it a little bit. I used 1/2 cup of half n half, 1/2 cup of 2% milk, teaspoon of pure vanilla. I also cooked the rum in the sauce. Thank you for the recipe

Oh my goodness

I used spiced rum. It was so good even my husband liked it.

Quick and easy. Other recipes have you boil away the alcohol but I prefer this recipe where you add the rum after the sauce has been thickened. I added a teaspoon of vanilla and used flax milk instead of dairy milk and it came out great, although I agree with the reviewer who said that half and half would produce a richer sauce. This turned a rather dry almond cake into a luscious boozy delight!

Yes, it is very easy and very good. Made it exactly to the recipe but halved it for a small coffee cake topping for a reception. Added a little red food coloring for Christmas. Worked perfectly!

Excellent sauce and easy to make. I doubled the dark rum! Yum.

Good recipe but I had to tweak it a little bit with a little more rum. Lol

This is an excellent rum sauce. I made the sauce according to the recipe using Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Coconut Rum and a 50/50 ratio of whole milk and half and half. I made the sauce for a rum raisin bread pudding that I had made. Truthfully, I am eating the bread pudding for the rum sauce. I keep finding myself getting another spoonful of rum sauce from the pot!

I use this sauce for my bread puddings..always a hit! Especially when I don’t measure the rum! I have also substituted bourbon for rum and it was yummy too!

It was very good. I used 1/3 cup sugar and it was still too sweet for my tastebuds. Will try 1/4 next time.

This was AMAZING on a partridgeberry pudding (recipe from Newfoundland, Canada, made with partridgeberries, berries unique to Newfoundland)!!! I used brown sugar and Half&Half, also Spiced Rum (Chairman’s from St. Lucia Distillery).

Excellent sauce! I used it on my fresh apple cake

This was good. I had planned to use rum flavoring instead of rum…but I was out. I will try that next time.

The simplest and tastiest Rum sauce

I thought it was a very good rum sauce, though not like the one my favorite restaurant uses on their bread pudding, which is what I’ve been trying to copy. I followed the suggestion from other reviewers to use half and half, and I am glad I did. It kept well in the refrigerator for two weeks.

Warning. This is addictive. On a winter’s night, it’s perfect with Bread and Butter Pudding.

Made it with Captain Morgan ‘s spiced rum. Very good. Can’t wait for the bread pudding to come out of the oven so we can try it on the pudding. Been dipping my spoon in the saucepan and by the time the bread pudding is ready I may be needing to make more sauce!
