I’ve been using this recipe for well over a decade. It’s my favorite meatloaf recipe and the only meatloaf I will eat! I follow the recipe completely, except sometimes I switch it up and use orange marmalade instead of pineapple.
Once tried this became a household staple. Made regularly with only a few tweaks
This recipe is great! It’s now my family’s favorite meatloaf recipe.
Absolutely love this recipe. Super simple and delicious. I make it as is often, but sometimes I will add chopped jalapeños to spice it up a bit. Definitely a family favorite!
My family loves this so much that I double the recipe so we have leftovers. I was out of Worcestershire once and used steak sauce instead, and that was so good that it became the standard. I also make extra sauce for the top. Super easy recipe with dependable results!
Would rate this a 4.5 for a basic meatloaf if it were an option. I followed other reviews and added some Worcestershire sauce. Also, I didn’t have bread crumbs so I used crushed soda crackers. Easy and delicious meal the whole family liked, including a picky 5 year old.
Added onion soup
my family loves this recipe!!! i always make double the amount because one batch is not enough. The kids love it too.
Very good love the sweet flavor
Delish! I used apricot preserves instead of pineapple & added peppers to the mix. Will make it again!
I used peach preserves instead of pineapple preserves, since that’s what I had on hand, and it was amazing. There were no leftovers.
Original recipe is a must try but I have made this for my family so many times now I have slowly customized it for them:)
this was fantastic im definitely making again
I made it with crushed pineapple because I couldnt find preserves. The recipe had just enough sweetness. I will make it again although I may spice up the meat a little more. I may add some onions and more spices. It was a yummy dinner for sure.
I made this exactly as written. The sauce was delicious and the only saving grace of the meal. The meat itself was bland. If I make this again there will definitely be additions to the meat, such as onions and green peppers.
By far the best tasting meat loaf that ever came out of my oven.
Didn’t think this was too sweet at all! The only thing I would say I would change next time was I would add in some onions, peas and carrots and heavily season the meat. The ground beef didn’t have much flavour if it wasn’t covered in the sauce. But over all I thought it was good. Will make again. Forgot to take a picture, next time!
I love the meatloaf like this. I used planko bread crumbs and could not find pineapple preserves so used pineapple topping and it was just as good!
Great meatloaf. I’d put some shredded carrot in it next time. I think you could change around preserves for different flavors.
I really love the tangy pineapple topping. Added a touch of salt and some sautéed onion to the mixture for extra flavour. Otherwise great!
I will make it again. My kids even liked it and sometimes they are picky on meatloaf. I’ve made it so many different ways, and this is one of the better ones. I didn’t have pinneapple preserves so I used Orange marmalade to get the sweet preserve affect. I also added about 4 extra dashes of worchestershire , however I was making a double batch anyways.
