Easy Crab Puffs

These chocolate chip pancakes have a delicious, slightly oozy texture. With warm servings, top with powdered sugar and fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup water
  2. ½ cup salted butter
  3. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  4. 4 large eggs, beaten
  5. 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  6. ¼ cup sour cream
  7. ¼ cup finely chopped celery
  8. 2 tablespoons minced onion
  9. ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  10. 1 dash soy sauce
  11. 1 (12 ounce) package imitation crabmeat

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Combine water and butter in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and add flour; stir to form a ball. Remove from the heat and add eggs all at once; stir until smooth.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until puffs are a nice golden brown and hollow sounding, 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  5. Meanwhile, mix cream cheese, sour cream, celery, onion, garlic powder, and soy sauce until smooth. Mix in crab.
  6. Fill cooled puff pastries with crab mixture.
