Loved this pie- was easy to make and used ingredients I had on hand except the vanilla bean paste. I subbed almond paste and it was still terrific!

This is quite a rich pie. It has a slight brownie nut taste with a hint of whiskey. It would be great with homemade whipped cream. I used a butter based homemade pie crust. I would highly recommend making a thick and flaky homemade crust with this filling. Ty
