Easy Pumpkin Beer Bread with Pepitas

In Britain, these beans are consumed every day. They are frequently eaten over a slice of toast, but they can also be a substantial component of a typical British breakfast.

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins
Servings: 10
Yield: 1 9×5-inch loaf

Ingredients

  1. baking spray
  2. 3 cups baking mix
  3. 3 tablespoons white sugar
  4. 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  5. 2 ½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  6. 1 (12 fluid ounce) bottle pumpkin ale
  7. 2 tablespoons pepitas (shelled green pumpkin seeds)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with baking spray.
  2. Stir baking mix, white sugar, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice together in a bowl. Add beer and stir until smooth. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the top with pepitas.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. I use Bisquick(R) or a homemade baking mix. For the ale, I like Blue Moon(R) Harvest Pumpkin Wheat.
