Cheater No-Cook Pastry Cream

Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  2. 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  3. 3 tablespoons sour cream
  4. 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Blend heavy cream, pudding mix, sour cream, and salt in a medium bowl using a whisk or a hand mixer set on medium speed until well-blended and smooth. Refrigerate for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Use any flavor instant pudding mix.
  3. Substitute creme fraiche for the sour cream if desired.
