Prepare to add some spice to your summer with this unique flavor combination that even your children will adore. Spicey, tangy, and sweet, and very simple to create. Excellent for brunches, by the pool, or when reading a book. delicious and nutritious. For an exotic vibe, serve in coffee mugs over ice.

Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ cups boiling water
  2. 3 chai tea bags, or more to taste
  3. 10 limes, juiced
  4. 1 lime, zested
  5. 4 cups ice, or as desired
  6. water, or as needed
  7. ¼ cup white sugar, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water into a mug and add chai. Allow tea to steep for at least 5 minutes. Remove tea bags.
  2. Combine lime juice and lime zest in a pitcher; add enough ice to fill pitcher halfway. Slowly pour chai tea over ice; stir. Add enough water to fill pitcher; stir in sugar.

A very different drink indeed. The tart lime and spicy tea combination really blend well together. I made ice cubes out of some of the tea and lime juice so this helped keep the tea tasty as well as cool while it sat. I used rock cane sugar crystals instead of white sugar and made up my own chai blend. Definitely an extraordinary drink for a summer day. Thank you MitchJGray for your recipe.
