Watermelon Salad with Grapes and Citrus

A tasty, fresh dessert that is healthful and simple for the summer that will have you craving more! This salad can be served straight immediately, but refrigeration brings out the flavors and makes the fruit crisp.

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups coarsely chopped seedless watermelon
  2. 4 cups seedless red grapes, halved
  3. 2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
  4. 2 tablespoons grated lime zest

Instructions

  1. Combine watermelon and red grapes in a bowl. Sprinkle lemon zest and lime zest over fruit and toss lightly. Cover bowl and refrigerate, about 1 hour.

So good! So fast and easy to make! I like that adding the zest enhances the fruit without overpowering it. I used black grapes and left them whole. I also served it in small glasses, which makes it seem “fancier” lol. This is a great addition to any BBQ or summer party!

What a bright and refreshing salad. Used green grapes instead of red (think that gives the salad a little more eye appeal), and I did add just a little squeeze of both the lemon and lime which only heightened the citrus flavor.
