Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 50 mins
Additional Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins
Servings: 6
Yield: 1 meatloaf

Ingredients

  1. cooking spray
  2. 1 pound ground turkey
  3. 1 egg
  4. ¼ cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  5. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  6. ½ clove garlic, minced
  7. ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  8. ¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  9. 2 cups tomato sauce, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Prepare a baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Mix turkey, egg, bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic, black pepper, and salt in a large bowl; shape into a loaf and put into prepared baking dish.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Spoon about half the tomato sauce over the loaf and continue baking until the meatloaf is no longer pink in the center, 10 to 15 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Rest meatloaf 5 to 10 minutes before slicing to serve.
  4. While the meatloaf rests, warm remaining tomato sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat; serve with the sliced meatloaf.

It was just okay, nothing special. If I make it again, I’ll omit the Italian seasoning, increase the salt. I didn’t use fresh garlic but used 1 tsp garlic powder – I would increase it to 2 tsp. I didn’t have tomato sauce so used ketchup in its place.

Made exactly as recipe states just doubled the ingredients for a larger meatloaf.

This was super easy and delicious, even with the textureless pink slime being passed off as ground turkey during the pandemic. My family loved this, and I’ll be making this meatloaf again.

This was excellent! Also very inexpensive to make! Plus super quick. Came out “pretty” too! Very light but left us full and a very clean dish. Just Loved it!

It was barely edible IMO. it was very solid and bland. Barely filled a quarter of the pan. My boyfriend liked it, but I used to make one that was amazing and delicious. but I lost the recipe.

Big hit with my family!! Followed recipe exactly but very small so I doubled the recipe. Delicious

I always go for simple recipes for me the fewer the ingredients the better and easier for me to remember without pulling out the recipe. I used ground beef for this recipe and this by far has been the best meatloaf recipe I have ever used. The taste is amazing. It is now in a regular rotation of dinner meals I make within a month.

I’ve made this quick, easy and great tasting meatloaf many times. After adding the tomato sauce to the top, I sprinkle an additional 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning and 2 tablespoons of shredded parmesan over the top of the loaf.

The recipe was just what I was looking for in terms of ingredients and ease. I didn’t use tomato sauce, I used my favorite barbecue sauce and it was delicious! Definitely on my list of go to recipes.

Very good, and easy! My daughter loved it, said it tasted like a giant meatball.

We ate it, but didn’t love it. We’re not ground turkey lovers and this recipe didn’t change that.

I made exactly as recipe and added Italian seasoning to simmering tomato sauce for topping and extra. Super easy and very very good.

This was AMAZING, I added a few things the second time I made it (white wine butter garlic seasoning and my from scratch two day spaghetti sauce/thin noodles) and made them into meat balls instead because if you change the word meat loaf to meat balls, teenage children will try it without complaining! Worked like a charm, now if I can figure out how to get them to eat like they aren’t using a shovel that would be great. Teenager approved though!! No leftovers.

Gr8 as written!

I love this recipe! I’ve made it a bunch of times now. I have tripled it, and it probably takes about 2 hours to bake. I just like having a bigger meatloaf.

This was a great meatloaf. I don’t eat turkey, so I made it with chicken, but with everything else the same (maybe an extra 1/3 cup of breadcrumbs). It was absolutely delicious.

Quick and easy and very tasty. My only change was adding more bread crumbs…the turkey was very, very wet and needed some extra to give it shape. Will make again for sure!

Perfect!

Easy to make with items you have on hand. I substituted tomato sauce with a pasta sauce and added some Parmesan cheese. It came out very tender and YUMMY! I will definitely make this again.

This was the driest meatloaf we ever tasted. I’ve used a lot of outstanding recipes from Allrecipes but this was my first disappointment. Won’t be making it again!
