Ingredients

  1. 2 ½ tablespoons chili powder
  2. 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  3. 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  4. 1 ½ tablespoons ground cumin
  5. 1 ½ tablespoons salt
  6. 1 ½ tablespoons garlic powder
  7. 1 ½ tablespoons onion powder
  8. 1 ½ tablespoons cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix chili powder, black pepper, oregano, cumin, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper together in an airtight container.

This is a great universal spice mix that could be used for many different things as the recipe submitter said. I do recommend starting with only a teaspoon of cayenne pepper and adding from there if necessary. I did find this to be a tad too salty so I will cut back on that the next time I make a batch. I used this on french fries last night and plan on using the rest as a meat rub. Good stuff! Thanks for sharing!
