Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 7 ½ tablespoons ground walnuts
- 4 ½ tablespoons white sugar
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- Mix the butter with the nuts and sugar until well combined. Add the flour and the vanilla and mix.
- Rolling about a tablespoon of dough in your hand, form a half moon or crescent shape.
- Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheets at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheets and roll in white sugar.

Reviews
These were okay, but somehow were just too sweet. I did have to mix the dough by hand as the very end. I also had to squeeze the dough tightly before forming the crescents. I had to let the cookies cool slightly before rolling in the sugar since they were just too hot to handle. Update: I have lowered my rating from 4 to 3 stars. After one day these cookies are nearly tasteless. They just need something for additional flavor, but I’m not quite sure what. Possibly using almond extract instead of vanilla would help.
These were very dry. Fell apart when I picked them up.
