Ingredients

  1. ¾ pound Italian sausage
  2. ½ cup diced onion
  3. 6 cups chicken broth
  4. 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano
  5. 5 ounces farfalle pasta
  6. ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  7. ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  8. ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  9. ½ cup ricotta cheese
  10. ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  11. ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  12. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Cook Italian sausage and onion in a skillet over medium-high heat until sausage is browned and crumbly and onion is soft and translucent, about 8 minutes.

Super easy, super filling, super flavors! Didn’t have fresh basil (bummer!) but added 1/2c fresh spinach when I added the ricotta. I’ve had similar recipes but loved how quickly this one comes together and again! Flavor is great! Thanks Yoly!

I made this for dinner. My husband immediately said “This is a do-over” Means he likes it. I went right by the recipe. Love it, wanted seconds. Yummy.

Delicious ! I added 2 T of cooking wine and used pureed tomatoes instead of chopped. Will definitely make again. Yum!

Found it very tasty but would use less chicken broth next time and add some garlic when cooking the onions and sausage.
