Mary’s Deviled Eggs

Compared to traditional deviled eggs, these have a somewhat sweeter and lighter flavor thanks to the Miracle Whip.

Ingredients

  1. 8 eggs
  2. ½ teaspoon prepared mustard
  3. 1 tablespoon creamy salad dressing (such as Miracle Whip®), or as needed
  4. salt and pepper to taste
  5. 1 pinch paprika

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, cover and remove from heat; let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove eggs from hot water and cool in ice water.
  2. Peel eggs and cut in half lengthwise. Transfer yolks into a bowl. Add mustard, salad dressing, salt, and pepper; mix until smooth.
  3. Refill each egg half with the yolk mixture and sprinkle with paprika.

Got a lot of good feedback, very easy just mix till smooth and add a little more miracle whip or mustard if necessary. I used smoked paprika which they really liked! All of them were eaten!

Started with this & increased the Miracle Whip to 4 tablespoons (1 per 2 eggs) and added 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar. Yummy and right consistency for filling egg whites.

Always a favorite. I do make it a bit creamier with added salad dressing and tend to put a touch a sweet relish in the mix for added taste.

Not bad but I have some issues. I tried hard boiling the way they say and when I went to peel them they were barely soft boiled. One dozen eggs wasted. So then I tried again with just 4 eggs for my daughter. The measurements for the mustard and Mayo (I hate Miracle Whip) were way too little. I helped it for four eggs and wound up quadrupling what I started with, so double for the full recipe. My daughter ate them so they couldn’t be too bad.

This is an old fashioned recipe I grew up with and is super simple. I doubled the Miracle Whip and mustard and sprinkled with Mrs. Dash Original instead of paprika. Delish!

Great basic recipe for four eggs, although I used more mustard. A dash of ground pepper, a little salt and away we went. No way would this have been enough for 8! but perfect for four eggs. I think I’ll use mayonnaise next time though as I’m not really a fan of miracle whip.

I am not a mustard fan, so the yellow mustard was a little strong tasting for me. I prefer to use Dijon mustard. So good!

They were not chef quality but yummy anyway. Very creamy and I used dill instead of paprika.
