- ½ cup chopped red onion
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Whisk mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, cider vinegar, sugar, curry powder, and black pepper together in a bowl until smooth. - Cook’s Note:
- Four tips to make it more to your liking: Substitute any fruit with apricots, dried cranberries, or raisins. You can use fat-free mayo, yogurt, or sour cream instead of regular mayo. Use chicken or tuna, or omit the meat for veggie version. You can substitute any nut; most popular is pecans.

Reviews
I used the recipe as a base. I only had a small amount of turkey left over.
Addicted to this salad
I am not wild about chicken salad but I must say this one was really good. I took it to a potluck and everyone wanted the recipe. I used chicken because I did not have turkey but other than that, made it as written. It was really good!
Absolutely a hit! Actually a home run! Best turkey leftover recipe ever!
This is awesome! The only change I made was out of necessity. I had to skip the apple as I didn’t have one but even before refrigerating this was so delicious. I will be making again soon… I can always make with a rotisserie chicken next time, but this turkey version is amazing. Thanks for the recipe!
This is one of our favorites. We serve with Ritz crackers and the flavor of the buttery, salty crackers combines perfectly with the fresh taste of the Waldorf salad. Must try this one….
Very Good!!! I used cranraisens instead of grapes. I also used almonds instead of Walnuts. No cheese. After thanksgiving is diet time for us. It was really good.
I’ve made this recipe twice, once with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving and another time with chicken. Turkey was the best!
I make this every thanksgiving. And throughout the year sometimes with chicken
I didn’t use grapes but it is yummy without them. I will serve it on a napa cabbage leaf like a taco.
This stuff is addictive! Didn’t have a apple second time, so did w/o it and it was still good.
This is easy and absolutely delicious. Didn’t change a thing and will make it again and again.
This is awesome! My husband roasted a 30lb turkey for us this weekend, and I kept thinking…ugh, turkey for days. But with this recipe, I will eat it everyday! I made this as written except for omitting the celery (hubs doesn’t like it) and I used almonds because that’s what I had on hand. The curry adds such an awesome punch to this recipe. Definitely a keeper!
Very tasty…!
This was really good! I had some leftover turkey from Thanksgiving, just enough to make a half-recipe. There seemed to be so much crunch going on that when it came time to add the apple, I just did a few tblsps. I also added a little extra sugar. I found that it really needed a little salt, so a few shakes before serving really made a big difference. Thanks for the great recipe that I’m sure to make again!
My husband is pretty finicky and doesn’t like turkey but I made this last year with leftovers and lo and behold, he asked for it again this year. It’s a holiday miracle! Didn’t change anything.
Excellent. Less mayo. Use taco shells for crunch
I made this with the ingredients I had on hand. Substituted dried cranberries and apricots for the fruit, and pumpkin seeds for the walnuts. I’m not a big fan of curry powder, but decided to give it a try anyway, with a little pinch of cayenne for some heat. It was so yummy! Can’t wait to have it again for lunch tomorrow! Thanks for all the substitution tips. So helpful.
Not a great. Very strong taste of curry and way too spicy. I do not recommend this recipe at all.
My first review.. I have to review it, I loved it! I made it exactly as listed. I love a combination of textures and tastes, and this salad was soo satisfying.. crisp celery, juicy grapes, crunchy nuts, perfectly done turkey, hint of onion, crunchy/juicy apple. I’ve already made another batch. And the dressing was perfect.
This recipe is BANGIN’!!!! That is all.
