Great flavor and very easy to make. Everyone loved it. Thank you for the recipe! 🙂
I love this recipe , I have a new thing lately for recipes that call for mayonnaise, I substitute half the mayonnaise with sour cream. I did that with this recipe and the coleslaw is the best I have ever had.
I’ve prepared so many varieties before discovering this one and I’m so thankful! No one ever would guess there is horseradish in here. Incredible combination for a creamy slaw! I prepared my own slaw using green cabbage, carrot, red onion, and green pepper. Yum
Everyone loved it. This would be my salad I bring to picnics all summer.
So quick and easy. Super tasty. I will for sure make it again.
Quick, easy, and very delicious!
Classic and at the same time, delicious, complex flavors. A keeper!
THIS IS A GREAT RECIPE WE HAD A FAIRLY LARGE FISH FRY AND THIS SLAW WAS A BIG WIN.
For the most part, I followed the recipe as written. However, I took the advice of others concerning the recipe being too sweet. Therefore I reduced the amount of sugar to 2 tablespoons which I thought was just right. The only packaged coleslaw I could find had some kale added to it, and it was a nice surprise. Next time I will try adding a bit more horseradish, as I loved the kick. I will be making this again.
Definitely the best coleslaw recipe. I have tried so many and this is the one. Followed the recipe exactly except put 1/8 cup sugar and it was perfect.
The dressing recipe is very good if you don’t add all of that sugar. Just a few big pinches is enough. Whip it up with your immersion blender for the best results. You can also add some tiny diced onions.
This is a great recipe! I did halve the recipe and it made a lot. The one thing I had to substitute was creamy horseradish for prepared horseradish because I didn’t have any actual horseradish on hand. The horseradish flavor was not overwhelming and really added depth to the flavor of the coleslaw. I also chose to use Stevia instead of sugar since it’s far healthier. I used Duke’s mayo because it doesn’t have any added sugar. I did let mine sit for about 4 hours before serving. My dad, who is not a huge fan of coleslaw, proclaimed it was the best coleslaw he’d ever tasted. I will make this again but will use actual horseradish next time.
have already made this like, forty times…. ! It’s one of those recipes that everyone will ask you to bring…. “Are you bringing that cole slaw…” and I say, “Sure!” and then I see smiles.
Excellent! Especially next to BBQ pork!
So yummy!
Delicious! I didn’t have any horseradish so added a tad more of the dry mustard. I used my own vegetables: half head of finely chopped green cabbage, one grated carrot and about 1/4 cup diced red onion (to add color since I didn’t have any red cabbage).
Its a really good coleslaw recipe, except the amount of sugar is WAY too much. I drop the sugar back to less than 1/8 cup (best to taste test as you’re adding).
I cut the recipe in half as it was just for two of us. I used a low-calorie mayonnaise, which did not do it justice. My husband thought it was really good, next time I’ll splurge and use the real mayo though.
Very good. I made it as written and we enjoyed it. Different in a good way. We’ll make it again.
We love this Coleslaw. I didn’t have onion powder so I substituted finely minced fresh onion and it was great.
Absolutely ! Nice kick with the horseradish.
