Reviews
It’s definitely a martini. Be prepared for a strong taste
This recipe just begs to be tweaked! I bumped up the pineapple juice to 1 1/4 oz, added 1/4 oz lime juice to counter the sweetness, and bumped the grenadine (using real grenadine) to 1/8 oz to emphasize the color. Next time I’ll probably increase the rum and decrease the vodka. BTW, this drink (and the bathing suit) is named for Bikini Atoll, where the U.S. conducted the first peacetime atomic bomb tests. For that reason I added a cocktail cherry to the bottom of the glass!
Good and easy to make! Perfect summer drink!
Very good, ready to go poolside.
It was very good!!!
This will definitely be made again and was really good. It reminds me of Mexico and being on a tropical beach. Without the price tag.
Sweet but strong
Very refreshing on a sweltering Florida summer day!
This was ok. I think it’s just my tastes, honestly. I guess I’m not a huge fan of the pineapple/grenadine combo. The second time I added some simple syrup and tonic water to dilute the pineapple (and make it less strong.) I left out the grenadine and liked it better.
Made it twice for the wife. She approves so five for ya bud.
The coconut rum was a little bit overpowering which is funny because I love Malibu Rum.
Nice and strong
This drink packs a strong punch. Very simple to make! The look of it makes it extra fun. Great martini!
Delicious and packs a punch! Be sure to use the canned Dole pineapple juice! Great for hot summer days.
I doubled the amounts to fill my glass. So good!
I like my drinks pretty strong and this one definitely has BITE. I think next time I will take others advice and add a bit more pineapple. Especially for my guests.
Basic mixed drink, nothing fancy in my opinion. I will admit I make a lot of mixed drinks using “The Little Black Book of Bartending” so I’m probably not the best person to rate a drink like this one. Doubtful I will ever make again.
It was too strong for me. I made it the second time with 2 oz pineapple juice and felt that was more to my liking. I also preferred it more chilled, so I shook with several ice cubes.
I love this! I trade it with regular vodka and subbed with Whipped vodka. The whipped is sweeter.
Less vodka more rum.. Great drink
Yumm!! What an easy and delicious summer drink! Definitely something you’d enjoy poolside 😉 I kept the ratios of 1 part coconut rum, 1 part vodka and 1 part pineapple juice and made this as a drink over ice – topped with Grenadine. You can add more pineapple juice to your liking if this is too strong, but I found it to be perfect. You could also make this in larger batches with the 1:1:1 ratio of rum, vodka and pineapple juice to go by.
