My family really enjoys this slaw since it is sweet but acidic. It makes me think of the KFC slaw. Always leave something overnight.

FINALLY – a cole slaw recipe that is exactly the flavor I was going for! I’ve tried a hundred recipes until today…this will be my go-to recipe from now on. Made it exactly as written – delish!!
I had never made coleslaw before, so decided to follow recipe as written except with a much smaller portion of cabbage. I also used half red cabbage. I worried there wouldn’t be enough dressing, but it was just right for my 4 cups of cabbage. I didn’t have 3 house to chill, but was still great
This is a great Cole-slaw dressing. I’ve made it a couple times. The second time I was low on Mayo and just added sour cream and it was just as good.
I added more mayo and less apple cider and no lemon and it came out better.
It was too sweet so I dumped it and started over. Combined everything except the sugar. Then added sugar 1T at a time until the right balance of sweet/sour for our family. I ended up using 2T sugar.
It tastes really close to the store bought version. I used Organic Agave nectar instead of white sugar, same amount etc. This will be my go to slaw recipe from now on!
This is the best coleslaw! I didn’t change a thing. I’ve tried many recipes and will use this one from now on!
I finally found a cole slaw dressing, that I like. The only changes I made were to substitute sugar substitute instead of sugar, since I am prediabetic, and also added celery seed. This is my new go-to slaw recipe.
Excellent, full of flavor does not taste anything like bland KFC. This is in another league of itself. The vinegar and lemon give plenty of tang flavor. If you want a base recipe to tweak this is the goto recipe as all others I have tried don’t come close to the flavor of this one. I eventually tweaked used heavy whipping cream, celery seed, and a pinch of cumin. Served this in a restaurant and got rave reviews. Kept sauce and cabbage separate since the sauce will keep about 6 days so when I needed product would mix a 4:3 ratio of cabbage to sauce. The recipe will not disappoint.
While we liked this, it didn’t remind of KFC. The flavor is good, but needs intensifying … more lemon, vinegar, sugar.
Nice tasting hybrid slaw! Easy to make & lots o’ flavor !
This is better than a restaurant’s slaw and better than my Mom’s. This is now my “go to” slaw. On my first attempt I strictly followed the recipe. I plan on checking out the reviews to see if it could benefit by any changes.
Awesome recipe everyone loves it . It’s a hit every time and I do add just a small squirt of regular yellow mustard ????.
Added1/8 tsp cayenne pepper to cut sweetness and placed in gallon ziplock for it to marinate. awesome tasting will always be my go to recipe
Great basic recipe.
Adding Shallots did the trick and more shredded carrots
Very good. I put in a little less sugar and add some hot horseradish and poppy seeds. It was fantastic!
No joke, this is the best Slaw I have ever had! Better than any store bought or restaurant slaw!
Made it to recipe.Very good!
Delicious, and just what we wanted! I made it as the recipe indicates except that I used all apple cider vinegar instead of a mixture of vinegar and lemon juice, because I had no lemons to juice.
Aw, some coleslaw. Oh, wait, it’s spelled AWESOME. Not sweet enough but that’s easily fixed.
