Chicken Italiano

A wonderful weeknight dinner can be made with few items.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups uncooked dried penne pasta
  2. 3 squares Italian Herb Saute Express® Saute Starter
  3. 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  4. ½ cup chopped onion
  5. 2 large tomatoes, chopped
  6. ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  2. Melt 2 Saute Express® squares in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-low heat just until bubbles begin to form.
  3. Add chicken.
  4. Saute 13-18 minutes or until chicken is golden brown on both sides and done (165 degrees F). Remove from skillet.
  5. Melt remaining 1 Saute Express® square in skillet. Add onions; cook 1-2 minutes or until softened. Toss in pasta and tomatoes to coat.
  6. Slice chicken; serve over pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

This was an awesome meal we did make a couple of additions but nothing drastic. Added some garlic, and after sautéing the chicken we covered and cooked it for a little while longer to make the chicken fall apart. This has amazing taste!!!!

I cooked everything as directed. It is very fast and easy, but the flavoring is so mild that i would want to add more of my own spices if I cook it again.

This was amazing! I used the pasta we had on hand instead of penne. My mom doesn’t care for tomatoes, so I left them out, but added red and green peppers for some color. Served with garlic rolls, it was delish!

Tried this and was amazed. So quick and easy and absolutely delicious. While chicken cooked I microwaved side dish and in a half hour served dinner. In fact it was so delicious I went back and bought the garlic and herb to try. What is great is it gives you enough cubes to make several dinners.
