This sauce has a flavor that reminds me of the sauce that goes on my favorite restaurant’s sticky fingers. It is simple to construct and offers countless customization options. Consider sprinkling some cinnamon or cloves on it. Although it is used to thicken the sauce, honey is not required. Simply add more brown sugar if the honey is not being used.

Tripled the recipe and Added 3 cup ketchup, 3 cup franks hot sauce, tablespoon of chopped garlic, half onion finely chopped, 2 tablespoons of lemon, 1/4 cup mustard, 2 cups of brown sugar, 3 cups of honey, baked the ribs in advance in Montreal steak spice. Everyone loved it. Even the kids cleaned the bones.
Made wings with this sauce for this year’s Halloween party. Party guest said they were the best wings they had ever eaten.
I marinated my wings in this. Should have saved a bit of liquid to shake in after they were grilled. I thought this was yummy and not too hot at all. I did add extra brown sugar and honey though after tasting it when it was cooking. Because of how easy this is a keeper.
Sweet, spicy, sticky and delicious! The family LOVED this sauce…a definite keeper~YUM!!!!! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
This sauce is deceptively hot but sooo good!
we do something similar, but omit the honey, add 1/2 stick of butter and 1 tsp. of worcestershire sauce. yum!
