White beans, carrots, and Italian chicken sausage combine to form a delectable soup that is quick and simple to prepare.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 25 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 4 burgers

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
  2. ¼ cup dark beer (such as Guinness®)
  3. 1 (6 inch) serrano pepper, diced
  4. 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  5. 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  2. Mix ground beef, beer, serrano pepper, and butter together in a bowl; form into 4 patties.
  3. Cook the burgers on the preheated grill for 5 minutes. Flip and continue cooking for 3 minutes. Top each burger with 1 slice Monterey Jack cheese and cook until burgers are no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 2 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Pretty tasty, but we didn’t get much of the Guinness flavor. Definitely could have used some s&p. But overall, a tasty burger.
