Ingredients
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 (3.5 ounce) package instant banana pudding mix
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup melted margarine
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons melted margarine
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Whisk the cocoa powder, sugar, flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and pudding mix together in a bowl.
- Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl, then whisk in 1/2 cup margarine, 1/4 cup milk, applesauce, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Stir in the flour mixture until no dry lumps remain, then spread into prepared pan. In a separate bowl, stir together the peanut butter, 2 tablespoons margarine, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Drop tablespoon-sized pieces of the peanut mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife to run through the peanut butter to create a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the top is dry and the edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 30 minutes. Cool to room temperature before cutting into squares.

Amazing!!! Was totally skeptical especially when the temp said 300. Butttttt soooo good. Next time maybe a chocolate pudding but soooo good
Peanut butter and banana are a favorite flavor combo of mine so of course I had to try this recipe. The brownies were thin, but moist and rich. I could taste the banana and the peanut swirl on top but for some reason it just didn’t all come together for me.
Nice texture but not particularly sweet or intense flavors…just not worth the effort to make or eat.
These were decadent, thick and pretty. At first I thought I had made a mistake because the batter was quite heavy but had faith and they turned out great. I made them for a group and they loved them. Only had vanilla pudding on hand – can’t wait to make them with banana.
The only change i made was to use butter> it was sooooooo good! everyone loved them! thanks u rock!
I followed this to a T. They didn’t come out right at all.
I usually don’t change things around at all , but I was looking for something quick. I used boxed brownie mix and added I box of banana cream pudding and for the peanut butter part, I used 1/2 cup melted in the micro and added 3 tablespoon powdered suger, than swirled the end result was amazing. Thank you sharing
The peanut butter portion of this is way too salty and not sweet at all. I like my brownies sweet! I might try it again, but next time leave out the salt. I found the texture to be very cake-like even without adding baking powder.
Talkin bout change your life kinda brownies with a little extra ingredient!
absolutely delicious Rock_lobster, the banana pudding is a great add to the mix
Best brownies I have ever had!

OMG! these brownies are over the top good. For a peanut butter loving family these made everyone smile. The ingredients make it look more difficult than it really is. It was a breeze to make and this will become a staple recipe from now on. YUM!
Taste as good as they look!
