Easy method for baking fruit desserts. It’s a tasty autumnal treat. Given the name, this isn’t a fruit crisp, buckle, cobbler, or betty. It resembles the German Kaiserschmarrn more closely. You can add raisins if you wish, along with peaches, pears, nectarines, whole blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, or a variety of fruits (or frozen berries).

This was the second worst recipe I’ve made in my 50 years of cooking. Couldn’t choke down a single bite.
Hi, it’s Bonny here, the original creator of the recipe. I just wanted to mention, in case you double it, the baking time will increase (and this varies depending on whether the fruit is frozen or not) but you do not need to double the butter if using a larger pan. Another note is, cinnamon may not work with every fruit conceivable for this recipe; I have used vanilla before with more delicate flavors such as with raspberries. You might even consider adding some lemon or orange zest instead of the cinnamon.
Easy and delicious!
The flavor of the berrries I used was not complemented by the cinnamon. I also doubled the recipe and it didn’t turn out well.
I added 1 cup of chopped strawberries and 2 cups of blueberries. It was a hit! I served it with vanilla bean ice cream.
It was awesome tasting. I used strawberries and pears it had great flavor. I will be making it again.
I’ve made this recipe two times this week. The first time I simply replaced the plums with peaches, since that ‘s what I had. The second time I used peaches. blackberries, blueberries and strawberries and the family DEVOURED it. Not overly sweet, either.
This was so fast and easy, and it turned out great! I made it with three cups of whole blueberries., served with vanilla ice cream. yum!
This reminded me of a loaded fruit coffee cake of sorts because the batter yielded a more cake-like texture. We liked this a lot, especially topped with vanilla ice cream for dessert. I added cake spice in lieu of the cinnamon which gave the blueberries a warm spicy flavor. Very easy and very good.
We love sweets here and this was good and gone. I did top it with cool whip topping and raspberry syrup. Great with your coffee and tea.
