Air Fryer Salmon Croquettes

  4.8 – 19 reviews  • Main Dishes

These simple to prepare salmon croquettes are every bit as good as pan-fried ones, but they are oil- and grease-free. An air fryer is to blame for that!

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 30 mins
Servings: 3
Yield: 6 salmon croquettes

Ingredients

  1. 1 (14.5 ounce) can salmon, drained and flaked
  2. 1 large egg, beaten
  3. ¾ cup panko bread crumbs
  4. ½ cup diced onion
  5. ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  6. ½ lemon, juiced
  7. 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  8. 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  9. salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  10. avocado oil nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Combine salmon, egg, panko, onions, mayonnaise, lemon juice, dill, seafood seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix to combine and shape into 6 equal-sized patties.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line air fryer basket with parchment paper and spray with avocado oil.
  3. Place salmon croquettes into the basket and spray with avocado oil.
  4. Air fry until croquettes are golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Flip croquettes over, spray with avocado oil, and air fry an additional 4 to 7 minutes. Cook in batches if necessary.

I was looking for a good salmon croquette recipe and this one worked well. I did change out the mayonnaise for plain Greek yogurt, added about 2 tablespoons more onions, then it called for and left out the salt. I didn’t have avocado cooking spray, so used olive oil cooking spray. It worked well, they turned out delicious. Only cooked two of them and froze the other four. Served with a pasta salad and fresh green beans out of the garden. Very easy recipe to follow and it cooked up incredible . Thank you.

They were delicious, I used Cajun seasoning, instead of Old bay.

Yum! My eldest wasn’t a fan – apparently while she likes salmon she doesn’t like canned salmon. But my youngest and I loved these. Will make again when it’s just the two of us.

It was good but too salty for me. The salt overpowered the croquette. Will have to figure out how to reduce the salt in the future.

I’m new to air fryer. Followed the recipe and it was super! Made a little sauce with mayo and sour cream and added paprika, curry and a few drops of hot sauce then topped it with some capers. So very good.

Quick, easy and tasty…. Only thing, I didn’t measure anything and it still came out great!… Also, I used cracker crumbs and pan fried…

We swapped plain greek yogurt for mayo because my husband is cutting weight. New family favorite!

I substituted cracker crumbs for bread crumbs and didn’t put any onions. Family thoroughly enjoyed them. Love the air fryer recipes as we are trying to cut out fats.

It was great! Very easy to make. I used a bit of worcestershire sauce, as well as seafood seasoning and, Organic no salt seasoning. Forgot about the lemon will include it next time.

Never would I had thought to add mayonnaise & dill to salmon croquettes. These were the best croquettes that I have EVER had in my life. The only thing that I added was seasoning salt and roasted garlic & herb seasoning. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Second time making these and I forgot to leave review the first time. I didn’t use the dill or lemon juice, I added onion powder, garlic powder, replaced panko bread crumbs with crumbled wheat bread and they came out fantastic

Great recipe. Added seasoned salt but used the other ingredients and they came out flavorful and light.

Absolutely delicious!!! Crispy and flavorful!! The only I changed was whole wheat breadcrumbs instead of the regular ones. Thanks for sharing!!

I thought these were very good. This made 8 patties for me and I cooked them 400 degrees for 12 min., flipping halfway through. I think it could have been less dry at 10 or 11 min. BTW…if using baking paper, don’t preheat. The paper blew upward and got burned by the heating element! Just add time to cooking.

This recipe was excellent!! The only change I made was I used 1/2 cup of panko gluten-free breadcrumbs, and olive oil spray for the parchment liner. Was a hit with me and hubby!
