When I was little, my mother used to make incredible chicken skewers. These are delicious right off the grill and even better warmed up. I like to prepare this ahead of time and bring it to work.

Ingredients
- 5 ripe pears – peeled, cored, and chopped
Instructions
- Place pears in a large saucepan and just barely cover with water. Simmer over medium-low heat until tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove cooked pears with a slotted spoon and place in a food processor or blender; puree until smooth. Allow to cool before serving.
- To freeze for later, fill an ice cube tray with the puree. Freeze until solid, about 2 hours, then remove cubes from the tray and place in a freezer bag. To defrost, place in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds, or as needed.
