Any tailgate would benefit from this “Eat Michigan” salad. We constantly try to think of inventive ways to humiliate the Michigan Wolverines, one of our major opponents from up north, when watching the Bowl games. The name of this delicious salad was inspired by the cherries and maple syrup in it. Enjoy!

came out soggy….
My favorite way to prepare sweet potatoes. I especially like to serve with a concoction of 2:1 Mayo and Serrano taco sauce
My sweet potato fries turned out well. I like the seasoning and would have preferred it on regular potatoes. My Air Fryer is a little different with the cooking level of heat. Next time I will not cook my vegan patty on top of the fries. This time I peeled the skin off. Thanks.
Delicious and so easy to make
10 minutes was not long enough.
These were great! Soaked in cold water for 10, dried them thoroughly before coating with oil. Created a variation on the 3rd batch: Garlic Parmesan Crusted Sweet Potato Fries Added 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Bumped up garlic powder to 1.5 tsp Used regular paprika instead of sweet Cut out the salt and pepper. The Parmesan was salty enough for me Tossed the fries and air fried them in a ninja foodi for 10 minutes. I cut my fries thin so they fried better. Thick ones were super soft in the center.
I read reviews of soggy fries and researched how to avoid it. I soaked the potato sticks in water for 15-20 minutes until I was ready to start making the fries. I probably could have soaked them for less time as you could see the starch in the water within just a few minutes. The key was to COMPLETELY dry the fries before coating with oil. I shook them a few times during cooking to check for doneness. I had cut them really thin so I wasn’t sure about the time. They came out crisp and delicious. It is a new family favorite!
Great as is
These were delicious! I did soak them in cold water as one reviewer suggested. That did not make them crispy. I did not have sweet paprika so I used regular. I added 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon. I was so glad I did. Mine were a bit on the spicy side which I attribute to the paprika. I will try them again without it but continue to use the cinnamon and maybe add 1/2 tsp brown sugar. I like my baked sweet potato with brown sugar and cinnamon. I also put them in a ziploc bag. Great idea!
I love this simple seasoning on these sweet potato fries. A delicious side with any entree.
Didn’t have the garlic powder but forged ahead anyway. Made sure I pressed the shake button to give em the ol razzle dazzle then. Oh, I also soaked the slices for 10ish minutes before tossing them in batches into the avocado oil/paprika/salt/pepper mix. Tasty… thank you
Maybe I did something wrong (timing, maybe) but these didn’t come out crispy for me. The outer layer was chewy.
I loved this recipe. It was quick and easy. I will make a few adjustments next time. I am new to the air fryer and mine weren’t quite as crunchy as I would have liked but they were delicious. The flavor was good. I added a praline dipping sauce. I will definitely try this recipe again and I have already shared it.
Easy recipe. I did not cut the potatoes thick and they needed to air fry at least 15-20 mins. I will try again!
It’s healthy, less fat than deep frying. Easy to make and cheaper than ordering them when out to eat. I substituted avocado oil for the canola oil. I did the 10 minute cooking of them, turning them half way. Hard to tell because of the spice coating if the fries were getting browned, so I kept them in for 2 more minutes. They were cooked and tasty, but were not really crisp. Don’t know if that’s how they come out or if I needed to cook them longer. They taste great, tho!
Everyone loved these! Great balance of seasoning, and super easy. I’m not a fan of sweet potato fries and I liked them! Thank you!
I soaked mine in water for 10 minutes and patted dry before adding the oil and spices. It took another 7 minutes on the time to get a bit of crisp. That being said, the spice combo on these fries is FANTASTIC. compliments the sweet potatoes beautifully.
Loved them! I used olive oil instead of the other oil and because I don’t use a lot of salt; I cut it in 1/2.
Very good!
These had good flavor, but they did not crisp, even though I let them air fry longer until they started getting dark. I tried twice with the same results. A suggestion I’ll try next is tossing the cut fries in Corn Starch before tossing in salt and oil, then adding the other spices after cooking. That might actually work to crisp these air fried sweet potato fries.
Really good! Tonight makes 2 nights in a row I’m making this. I do eye my seasoning though instead of measuring out.
