Bottled thousand island cannot stand up to this delicious freshly made version. It is great on salads and sandwiches. Easy to customize to your liking without underplaying the the basic recipe.

Delicious and easy to make. I’m not usually a fan of tomato based dressings, but they’re my husband’s favorite, so I thought It’d give this a try and I’m glad I did.

Love this recipe and use it when I make Reuben sandwiches. I substitute sriracha for the chili sauce and taste as you go, to make sure it doesn’t get too hot. Also I always double the recipe and increase the chopped hard boiled eggs to 2. Also this recipe freezes well for up to 3 months. Make sure the dressing does not have access to any air, so using a freezer, zip lock bag works great.

I used part of this recipe. Instead of sweet pickle relish or chopped I used a dash of ginger. Came out perfect.

My hubby said this was “good stuff” and he is not given to praising salad dressings LOL. Made half the suggested amount since it’s just the two of us but best version of this I’ve made. Great on corned beef on rye…definitely a keeper.

I used cocktail sauce instead of chili sauce plus ketsup.  replaced the mayo plus garlic with garlic aioli.

alternately a bit of sambol is great
great taste and texture

Loved this recipe! I also used a whole egg and added a teaspoon of horse radish to give it a bit more bite.
