I agree with Joanna but instead of reducing butter and seasoning, I double everything else. Quick, easy, and the family loves it
This is a really great recipe. I have modified it to use less seasoning (less salt) and less butter. I add 2 – 3 T of Old Bay seafood seasoning and 1 – 1.5 T of Cajun seasoning to the boiling water. Then, instead of tossing everything in a pound of seasoned butter, I melt 1 stick of butter and add 1 T of Old Bay and 1 T of Cajun seasoning and drizzle it over cooked food, if desired. I also love the corn in this recipe so I add 4 ears, instead of just 2, and I only add 0.5 lb of smoked sausage, instead of a full pound.
When you boil potatoes for 23 min u get mashed potatoes…duh and you talk about a heart attack from all thebsalty ingredients wow !!?
Excellent!
