Level: Easy
Total: 3 hr 20 min
Active: 15 min
Yield: 4 to 8 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  2. 1/4 cup smoked paprika
  3. 1 mounded tablespoon ground black pepper
  4. 1 mounded tablespoon garlic powder
  5. 1 mounded tablespoon onion powder
  6. Kosher salt
  7. 2 racks spareribs
  8. 1/3 cup yellow mustard
  9. 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Line a sheet pan with foil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and 1 teaspoon salt.
  3. Lay the ribs onto the prepared sheet pan and season on both sides with salt. With the meat side of the ribs face down, brush with half of the mustard and sprinkle over half of the seasoning mix. Turn the ribs over, so the meat side now faces up, and use the remaining mustard and seasoning mix on the other side. Bake the ribs meat-side up until they are very tender, 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
  4. Remove from the oven and spread the ribs with half of the BBQ sauce. Return the sheet pan to the oven for another 30 minutes, allowing the sauce on top to become sticky and delicious.
  5. Transfer the ribs to a cutting board and allow them to rest for a few minutes before slicing into individual ribs. Serve with the remaining BBQ sauce on the side.

Soooooooo good!!!! I made these exactly as written with ribs from Snake River and they were just delicious! Served them at a barbeque lunch and it saved room on the grill for other foods and there was not one left! Everyone asked for the recipe.

I followed the directions to a T but oh they were not good. After 3 hours I raised the temperature and cooked an additional 30 minutes. Decent flavors in the seasoning but so tough. I love Ree but these were bad.

Good recipe for when you can’t fire up
the grill. My family liked the mustard coating. Cooking time is just a starting place. Mine were probably in the oven for close to 3 1/2 hours.

250F is clearly too low. After 2h and 15min my baby back ribs were half raw

My go to BBQ pork spareribs recipe it is very easy to follow recipe and comes out of the oven tender and flavorful.
I did convection oven bake because it took longer in my oven than I thought it would and also up temperature to 300° also dropped a little bit of liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce on top to add more smoky flavor!
Thanks Pioneer woman for another great recipe!

Followed Ree’s recipe until the end. I prefer dry rubbed ribs, so left off the sauce.stayed moist, and very tasty!
