This was delicious and so easy. I did add a few pads of butter when it was done baking and put it back in for 5 minutes because there was cake mix that was still dry on the top. That did it, it was delicious.

Very easy and quick dessert. Yummy served warm with vanilla ice cream. I used more oats & nuts than listed. Swapped walnuts for pecans. Used fresh berries. Agree that it needs 1.5 sticks of melted butter to fully coat the topping. Needed about 60-65 minutes in my oven. Might add some cinnamon next time.

It needs 1 1/2 sticks of butter sliced thin to cover all the powdered cake mix

This turned out so yummy! I may try using just blueberries as I don’t care for the seeds in the blackberries…they get stuck in my teeth. So simple and quick and so delicious! Definitely a keeper!

Delicious and a big hit warmed with vanilla ice cream. However, after about an hour the cake mix was still powdery so I had to add more butter. I used bags of frozen mixed berries and cherries and it was delicious

Should the berries be frozen or thawed when you put them in the pan?

I have made this recipe with the no sugar added Pillsbury yellow cake mix and it is wonderful. I also used chopped pecans due to nut allergies in my family. Best dump cake ever!!! I have also used frozen and canned peaches as well.

Love this cake! I’ve made it 3 times in a month and ate it mostly all by myself. I use fresh berries, less cake mix than recipe (maybe use 2/3 of the box), more oats, and in addition to walnuts, sliced almonds. YUM. Always, ALWAYS, good quality vanilla ice cream too. I have to eat it warmed up too. Haven’t increased the butter but gonna try that today. I’m fresh out of dump cake and am jonesing for more…!
