It was okay but Id rather use skim, soy or almond milk. Would I need to change anything else with the original recipe, if I make this again and do that?
This is a good, basic recipe…and very refreshing. I use soy milk. In the winter I buse egg nog instead of milk.
I actually do the same thing as Bobby except being from New England, I use coffee syrup instead of honey. Delicious!
Chai tea is one of the teas out there…therefore this recipe makes it even better! YUM!
This recipe is pretty simple and a pretty good to boot!
And to Susanne, Bobby does use chai tea bags in the episode. The part you’re referring to is when he was explaining what chai tea is. Traditionally, all chai really is is black tea with added spices and flavors. In the episode, Bobby was only reading the spices from the back of the chai box. The recipe that is online here is the recipe he uses on the episode. Hope that clears things up!
I watched this episode and I believe I remember Bobby adding some spices that were not listed in the recipe on line. I realize it says chai tea bags but he actually used black tea and then added the spices. I would rather have that recipe, I guess I’ll have to wait for the episode to air again.
I love chai iced tea and this recipe is very good, cheers!
I love Chai tea but not made from this recipe.
