Lemon pound cake
sliced strawberries and the juice that had been fermenting in sugar for another dish
chocolate syrup
whipped cream
chopped pecans.
real butter
I buttered the bottoms of the Lemon Pound cake and put the strawberries in between and grilled it until brown crust on bottoms.
Placed in a bowel and poured the strawberry sugar juice over it and a little ran down the sides, then passed a thin light stream of chocolate syrup across the top three times and a little down the sides. Squirted a half dollar sized dollop whipped cream on top then sprinkled with chopped pecans.
It is the best presentation I have made to date. To look at it was like gazing upon a Monet. But I never wanted to eat a Monet, this dish we devoured!
Thanks a million for the recipe, it was a great inspiration to become creative in my own kitchen. I did later try this recipe to a “T” it was great, but didn’t compare to my own concoction–but what a great inspiration!!
Thanks!
