Honey-Glazed Baked Salmon

  4.8 – 9 reviews  • Baked Salmon Recipes

This dish, which I received from a friend, is simple to prepare and delicious to boot! Because the honey glaze is so good and I prefer having more sauce than not enough, I still prepare the same quantity of it even when I use less pieces of salmon (2 small salmon filets).

Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Total Time: 40 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 4 fillets

Ingredients

  1. ⅓ cup honey
  2. ⅓ cup thinly sliced green onions
  3. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  4. 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  5. 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  6. 1 teaspoon minced onion
  7. ¾ teaspoon ground ginger
  8. ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, or more to taste
  9. ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, or more to taste
  10. 4 salmon fillets

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Mix honey, green onions, soy sauce, sesame seeds, garlic, onion, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl until blended.
  3. Place salmon in single layer in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spoon honey mixture evenly on top of salmon; the mixture will run off, but try to coat the fish with a thin layer all over.
  4. Roast salmon in the preheated oven, basting salmon with the sauce at least once, until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 20 minutes.
  5. If using frozen salmon fillets, increase the roasting time to 25 to 30 minutes.

Loved it! It was delicious but I made a few changes. I left out all of the spicy ingredients since I don’t tolerate spicy anything well and I didn’t have the green onions so I used diced onions instead. I also left out the sesame seeds (don’t care for them) just a personal preference. Even with all the tweaks the salmon came out delicious and I will definitely be making this again!

Oh my gosh this was wonderful and easy! I cook a lot of fish and salmon is always a little tricky to keep it from getting dry. I didn’t have soy sauce or sesame seeds so I used teriyaki but look forward to making it the recipe way in the future. Was still wonderful, moist and tasty. Cooked up less salmon and threw some rice in the cooker and put sauce on that with some steamed asparagus on the side. Heavenly and healthy dinner!

Outstanding meal! The wife even gave a hug and kiss! Next time I will add more of the hot spice!

It was delicious and so easy to make. Love the little bit of kick that the red pepper flakes added. This one will go in my Favorites folder. Thank you for sharing.
